Reconstruction

Culminating Assessment:

Students will complete a culminating project in which they create a museum exhibit that shows the successes and failures of Reconstruction. Students will use primary sources as well as artifacts they create for their exhibit. They will explain each artifact and what it demonstrates about Reconstruction. Their museum exhibit will include a statement in which students must take a position and explain why Reconstruction was a success or a failure (see Exhibit project directions and Rubric for project).
