First Draft (Due 4/12)
Requirements:
1. Footnote everything
2. Cite 7-10 secondary sources and 7-10 primary sources
3. Do not use online sources that have not been published elsewhere (i.e. you should use online databases of JStor articles and NYT and other newspapers)
4. Follow Turabian manual in formatting.
5. Include a bibliography of primary and secondary sources.
Sections:
1. Introduction (1 page, adapted from your paper proposal)
2. Historiography (3 pages, adapted from your historiography paper)
3. Main section (5-7 pages, analysis of primary sources that supports the main thesis you stated in the introduction)
4. Conclusion (1 page, summarize your main points)
Presentation
Presentations of your first drafts should be 10 min log and summarize your main argument and evidence. You will be graded on the presentation as well as the written part.
