Time lapse showed things no one had ever seen before. Imagine the audience's delight as they watched the formerly solid building "melt into air." Typically, projectionists did as they liked with these early short films, slowing them down, speeding them up, or repeating them as the audience demanded. No doubt this one played backward, so the building magically reassembled itself.
