For my web review essay, I would like to review historical image sites. There are several many different agencies that offer historical pictures online, and the presentation, use, and functionality is just as varied. For instance, http://www.corbis.com offers present day stock photos as well as images that go back to WWII. The wensite http://www.artres.com offers fine art images of historical paintings and sulptures covering almost every topic going back to classical times. As a picture researcher I use these sites, and more, daily and have become quite familiar with them. The functionality of each site affects my job and efficiency, and I must evaluate them carefully. To write an essay and present them to the class is just the next logical step of good evaluation.
