Web Review Essay Proposal
I intend to review websites relating to specific units that fought in the Civil War. To do this I searched for individual sites relating to five more well known units, three from the North and two from the South. The units I selected to use from the North were the Iron Brigade, the 20th Maine and the Irish Brigade. The two units I selected from the South were the Stonewall Brigade and the 1St Virginia Cavalry.
Although each site is relatively small, each unit has had allot written on them and each has various web sites of differing quality and content. This depth in information should also provide a number of sources of non-digital history on the topic.
