The
personal papers, official documents and publications in the collections
of the Women's Memorial Foundation highlight the individual experiences
of servicewomen and the environment in which they served.
They demonstrate the kinds of jobs women filled
and where they were stationed, military attitudes and policies toward
servicewomen (including benefits, marriage and pregnancy), how military
recruitment efforts targeted women during different eras and how
women lived during their service in the US armed forces.
Researchers may contact our
collection curators, for an appointment to use the document
collections.
