BREAKING NEWSThe "Buying Accessible Telecommunications Products" course has just been added to the Section 508 Universe. This course is designed for anyone involved in the purchase or procurement of telecommunications products for their agency. This course focuses on telecommunications product accessibility and addresses concerns of TTY users. Having problems with the 508 Universe? Review the User Guidance. The Quick Reference Guide to Section 508 Resource Documents is available to assist government officials in making informed decisions about Section 508 related procurement. Check out the new Buy Accessible (BA) Wizard tool. This is a web-based tool to help users determine and document Section 508 requirements that apply to a particular E&IT acquisition. Note: We recently changed the Wizard URL. If you have problems viewing the wizard via your browser, select Ctrl F5 to refresh or go straight to the Wizard's new location at http://app.buyaccessible.gov/baw/.
HomeSection 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities. The Center for Information Technology Accommodation (CITA), in the U.S. General Services Administration's Office of Governmentwide Policy, has been charged with the task of educating Federal employees and building the infrastructure necessary to support Section 508 implementation. Using this web site, Federal employees and the public can access resources for understanding and implementing the requirements of Section 508. |
