I was really in amazement by this film. Prior to this experience I had never heard of the sworn virgins, so everything was new to me. The lifestyle that these “women” live was extremely interesting. Espcially how society treated them. I found it interesting that not only thier own village, but also other towns they went to also treated them as men. Also to see afterwards with the Q/A time to find out that younger girls are still making this choice even in the modern age was extremely interesting. At first I just thought this was something women did because of the social order they were stuck in, however with the younger more modern girls doing it, that tends to go against that reasoning. Overall, it was a very interesting experience, and I’m glad I went.
