It worked for me OK without the www. I just had to wait for 10 seconds. Here's a link for using VIM on a windows computer. http://home.wanadoo.nl/fvu/Projects/Vim/Web/vim.htm#h-1
Keep in mind it is purely a text based program. You code all of the pages by hand, typing all of the HTML, CSS, PHP, etc... But I'm geeky, so I like it.
