Nona: Well I'm a big basketball lover, so your site definitely coupled my history and sports interest. I think your use of this team, especially as historical commentary on race relations/integration is incredible. I also think this site would give your appeal to write a book on the topic even more credibility b/c you are publishing and researching on the topic already. Doesn't that mean you're the only current authority? Ahhh, what a nice place to be! Excellent site!

Nona, you continue to astound me with your web wise talent and your ability to make an otherwise unintersting subject interesting to me. Where on Earth do you search to find these jewels of wisdom? Anyone who says that spending time in front of a computer zaps one's ability to use their imagination ought to be shown your ingenuity as is demonstrated here. Well done.

You mentioned you will be doing some comparisons of stats from the Ramblers with other basketball greats. You might want to think about comparing to a list of College Basketball Greats, instead of looking and great Pros, and working backwords. I'm not sure if this book has stats in it, but I imagine it does. Maybe it could help you: Legends of College Basketball : The 100 Greatest Players of All Time by Sporting News.

Thanks Tai.
That will be like the perfect resource (stats or no stats). It will keep me from arbitrarily chosing Nona's list of greatest players.

thank you much!
