Lawrence Levine's extraordinary contribution to American history, and particularly to cultural history, merits a serious review by his peers and by those he has taught and influenced. This conference will celebrate Professor Levine's work and also allow leading scholars to examine the field—cultural history—he has done so much to help establish.

The conference schedule describes the events and lists the participants. Participants have submitted their papers in advance: papers can be read here. Only registered conference attendees will have the password. Please register for the conference, so that we can keep track of our logistical needs

On Friday evening, there will be a dinner in Professor Levine's honor. Reservations for the dinner are now closed.

The conference will take place at the Arlington, Virginia campus of George Mason University, convenient to public transportation. See the "location" link for more details.

If you plan to attend, please register your name. Registration is free, but required. To guarantee a space, please register.
