The Mozilla Digital Memory Bank is an interactive archive that allows you to contribute your images and experiences with Mozilla products, as well as to browse the histories left by others.
I see more and more companies investing in it, and I see more and more contributors to the Mozilla project. I'm also hearing more and more that governments in various countries, states, or cities, are moving away from proprietary software to more open software. The more interest there is in open source, the more companies and individuals will contribute to it.
read moreCompanies can initiate an open source project as well, or take existing projects and open source them and leverage the open source community to develop them. So, I hope to see that more in the future, more mainstream products becoming open source based products.
read moreI think the fact that the Mozilla project is managed by people who "do management" is a good thing. It's not all programmers, some of whom are in charge. There are people who are very business-capable involved in the project, and that makes an enormous difference.
