About Jodi Boyle
After nearly a decade of working in the business world, I am attending American to gain the background necessary to successfully change careers. I am pursuing a master’s degree under the public history track in order to work in archival and records management.
A New Jersey native, I attended Douglass College, Rutgers University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history in May 1996. Later I worked for nearly nine years in public relations, both in New York and Washington, D.C., until returning to school full-time in January 2005. I currently live in Maryland with my husband and six month old son, Adam.
Today from a professional perspective, I am most interested in public history and related topics, especially the impact of American cultural history on a non-academic audience. On a personal level, I am fascinated by Tudor England, World War I era Britain, the American Civil War and the post-Civil War frontier.
