oh come on people! this is why i hate blogs.
I will get to my postings in a minute, but I just wanted to point out a perfect example of why I have an issue with blogs. Not that they’re not useful, at times, but seriously:
lifehackerFIVE pictures and SEVENTEEN comments about getting the sticker off a CD case?!? Don’t people have anything better to do?? I’m surprised bloggers even buy CDs anymore, ha ha.Sorry, had to rant. But there you go…my first official, nonschool blog entry!

One of the things I find fascinating (and, to be honest, a bit compelling) about sites like Lifehacker is the way in which the obsession with self-improvement through organization takes on a fetishistic quality…it teeters on a very sharp edge between usefulness and absurd irony… (and I’m just geeky enough to appreciate it on both levels)…

I guess the site fits a niche! where else could people discuss in such detail the trials and tribulations of removing a sticker?

Yeah–but to some extent couldn’t you say that’s why its so entertaining? Like Seinfeld which was really a show about nothing (or was it that they were writing a show about nothing?) the everyday inateness of sucha task and removin the label off a cd can be entertaining…
…then again I did mock the Caffine nap
