Ron Martin

Ron Martin is an Assistant Editor of the Papers of the War Department. He earned a BA in History at Acadia University, Wolfville Nova Scotia. He has a Master's Degree from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and is a graduate of the Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting. Martin is a former Marine infantry officer. He served as an operational planner for Marine Forces Central Command leading up to and during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His research interests include the diplomatic efforts of the early Republic with the southern Indian tribes.
