Student Orientation

8:30-9:50am in the Cambridge Community - About 25 new students meet us in Chestertown. We hand out T-shirts and do some get-to-know-you activities. STS staff leave volunteers alone with the new students for about 10 minutes to say anything you wish.

Parent Orientation

10:30-11:50am in the Cambridge Community - about 35 parents meet us in Chestertown. We complete signing the Service Day forms. We answer a lot of questions about life and school at UM, in Chestertown, and in Scholars and STS.

Lunch

11:50am-12:50pm in South Campus Commons - a bus leaves after the parent session (at 11:40am) from the Cambridge Community. We sit with the parents and continue our conversations. Students who volunteer for the student orientation are welcome to find us at South Campus Commons - just sit with the parents and be friendly.

Confirming Email

Please look for my confirming email. I'm looking for 3-5 people for the student orientation and for 2-3 people for the parent orientation. If too many of you register, I'll have to say no. Therefore, please look for my confirming email 1 week before orientation.

Thanks for helping Scholars and STS with Summer Orientation! As you know from the Open Houses in the Spring - they really want to meet and learn from you.
