Thoughts on the Columbia Space Shuttle Tragedy

Submitted October 4, 2003, 9:52 AM

What were your thoughts and feelings when you heard that Columbia was lost?
I had this strange feeling of helplessness. I'm not from the US, but even so, the tragic loss of life of these brave explorers ans scientists touched me.
Have your views of space travel changed over time?
Yes, the have. Even since Challenger it seems that space is even farther away the I used to think. Mankind is taking babysteps to achieve a significant foothold on space, and I doubt it will happen during my lifetime (up to 2050, I mean)
