2005-04-18, The DCMI Directorate is pleased to announce that two documents are now available for public comment until 18 May 2005. These are Guidelines for Encoding Bibliographic Citation Information in Dublin Core Metadata and Element Refinement in Dublin Core Metadata. Comments should be sent to the DC-General mailing list. 2005-03-07, The DCMI Directorate is pleased to announce that after the Public Comment period that took place in February 2005, the DCMI Abstract Model is now published as a DCMI Recommendation. This foundational document is primarily aimed at the developers of software applications that support Dublin Core metadata, people involved in developing new syntax encoding guidelines for Dublin Core metadata and those people developing metadata application profiles based on the Dublin Core.
