On his career
I'm really not a maker of photographs, I'm more or less of a taker of photographs. I have to see a certain type of situation. I'd go into a mine, for instance, I will never tell a miner, "Well do this because it's going to look better," or "Look this way, because you're going to look better." I would rather take him the way he is and let the chips fall where they may. If it's a good photograph, fine. If it's not, that's why I think I'm, like I said, I'm almost a taker of photographs, instead of maker.
