Title

Farmington Landing

Subject

Archaeological remains of an old pier

Description

The remains of an old pier can be found at Farmington Landing, 3 kilometers from the mouth of Piscataway Creek. Remains and artifacts found in the area indicate the site was a permanent, early-late Woodland period village, probably occupied between 900-1300 A.D. A newer pier has been constructed adjacent to the remains of the old one and Farmington Landing is still considered a good place to fish and launch small boats.
