Nancy M. Wingfield has published widely on the cultural history of Habsburg Central Europe. Most recently, she is editor of Creating the Other: Nationalism and Ethnic Enmity in Habsburg Central Europe (2003) and coeditor with Maria Bucur of Staging the Past: The Politics of Commemoration in Habsburg Central Europe, 1848 to the Present (2001).
