First steps toward change

I will now assign you to small groups. Your task in the group is to:

  1. Discuss one portion of your US History course that does not work as well as you think it should—one part of the content that the students just don’t seem to “get”.
  2. After everyone has shared their example, discuss ideas you have for an intervention that might change what is happening in that portion of your course. Each member of the group should offer suggestions if they can.
  3. After everyone has had a chance to solicit ideas from their group, the groups will report out to the room. This means you have to decide who in your group will speak up first.
