I hereby assign to AARP my full rights I have over the letter I have submitted to AARP recording my recollection of my life and impressions during the civil rights era. I understand that by giving up these rights, I am giving up any copyright or performance rights that I may hold.

I also grant to AARP and its licensees, my absolute and irrevocable consent for any photographs provided by me or taken of me in the course of my participation in the Voices of Civil Rights project to be used, published, and copied by AARP and its licensees, assignees in any medium.

I agree that AARP, and its licensees, assignees, may use my name, video or photographic image or likeness, statements, performance, and voice reproduction, or other sound effects without further approval on my part.

I release AARP, and its licensees, assignees and designees, from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of such recordings, documents, and artifacts, including but not limited to, any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or right of publicity. I understand AARP may edit my submission for clarity and brevity.
